# Update Notes

Use these rules when updating `index.html` and `index-sv.html`.

## Future Update Rules

- Keep the original/May text and every old dated update. Do not replace history.
- When adding a new update, insert it as a new line/block below the latest update inside the same numbered section.
- Heading format:
  - English: `Update Month Day, Year: better/same/worse.`
  - Swedish: `Uppdatering dag månad år: bättre/samma/sämre.`
- Color only the word `better/same/worse` or `bättre/samma/sämre`.
- Compare each new update with the latest previous update in that same section.
- If a section has no earlier dated update, compare with the original/May text.
- Do not add a separate same-day update to sections whose main text is already dated today.
- Every update block should be italic/muted, include a short explanation, and include sources inside the same block.
- Before considering an update finished, audit every numbered section in both language files. Do not repeat the July 1, 2026 mistake where only a handful of sections were updated while sections such as 1, 3, and 4 were missed. Each numbered section must either receive the new dated update block or be deliberately documented as not needing one.
- When describing market prices, separate relative moves from absolute levels. Do not call WTI around $79 "calm" without qualifying that it is still elevated; compare both the change and the level against the section's risk logic.
